It's a dead end, IMO. There were already some more-or-less working implementations based on libgmyth and recent gstreamer's support for myth:// URIs. The plugin didn't get much attention after initial hubbub... One way to have recordings from MythTV available in Moovida is to use its built-in UPnP MediaServer and Moovida's support for UPnP. There are some quirks due to MythTV failing to properly implement the UPnP standard. The general consensus between Moovida developers is that we should try and work with the Gnome DVB Daemon [1] which, again, is accessible via UPnP through Coherence. What's more, there's currently no proper design for EPG data to be presented to the user and that's one of the most important things to think of. IMO the place to start is to properly discuss this and have a good design. I know having something working is nice but we'll probably end up with something that needs to be rewritten anyway because we didn't give it enough thought in the first place.
