There are the Nick Clegg proposals, which I assume you have seen.

I'm working on a substantial piece (looking like 2000-2500 words)
comparing Westminster with the Scandinavian Model, which I'm after
getting into a News Mag. I'll try and post a short summary over the
weekend.

See e.g., the Norway Setup:

http://www.mattwardman.com/blog/2009/04/06/what-would-a-bicycling-parliament-look-like-in-the-uk-mp-expenses/

I also did an outline look at the zero-extra-cost of "Paliament owning
flats", and a couple of other questions on Paul Flynn MP's blog (who
has written half a dozen pieces in connection with his Channel 4
Report, with some interesting debate)

http://paulflynnmp.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/04/optimism-my-drug.html?cid=6a00d8346d963f69e201156feb0f22970b#comment-6a00d8346d963f69e201156feb0f22970b

(And I still have to do that response to your piece, Adrian).

Lots of interest and competition. My Google ranking for "MP Expenses"
is down from about 11 to about 28 in just over a week.

If MySoc could weigh in on either the principles to apply or a
proposal it may be strategic.

Why do all the governance questions (e.g., Photogs, Policing etc) all
happen at once? <:-)
