It can't be worse than 72 dpi black & white* scans in a pdf or docx file compressed as 'beware_of_the_leopard.rar', one "whatever would fit on the scanner at once" to a page, with the only metadata being the name of the MP scrawled *over* one of the receipts in yellow crayon, before scanning. Can it? On a more serious note: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/article6012060.ece ... scans of a million receipts ... ... CD-Roms containing the complete scans of every MP’s receipts... Not that that's necessarily useful - or even accurate, since the format of the data may have changed in the meantime. If it hasn't, you could ask the Telegraph. They might actually be able to give you useful information... :) Dave. * Or maybe 3600 dpi in full uncompressed colour. PS: The forwarded email appears to have spoiler space in it. Is that an artefact of being forwarded, or a bug in the WDTK software? > New updates for the request 'Technical details for publication of > MPs' expenses in July' > = > = [ snip even more lines of > = ] > = > = > ====================================================================== _______________________________________________ Mailing list [email protected] Archive, settings, or unsubscribe: https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/developers-public
