Is there a plan to put these invoices into a structured form? I ask because a commercial organisation might be doing so already, but if not, is there a My Society plan? Its just the kind of thing that would be easy to crowd source. At the moment the data is scanned images in PDF form.
It didn't take me long to type in the (very small number) of invoices my MP (Diane Abbott) submitted for the communications allowance for 2007/8. I got a total of £7802.05 but they work for you shows her as having £7,948.00 which immediately suggests that I'm not getting a full picture somehow (or maybe TWFY uses a different source of information - but it would be useful to know). Is there a record somewhere of payments to MPs? I mean a proper ledger like account of what payments were made out and when. Knowing what she claimed is not the same as knowing what was allowed, is it?
