Yes, but currently the skew is in favour of those with the data. Opening up the data corrects the existing skew by widening the power base. For example, there's a campaign in these parts (E Sussex) to dual a section of the A27, "supported" by a particular data analysis. It's useful for people to see data presented in a neutral manner. > But I guess the same question applies at every stage. > > Just thinking. > > Matt > > On Wed, Dec 16, 2009 at 11:13 AM, Tom Steinberg <[email protected]> wrote: > >> Extremely grim, but extremely important data transparency and visualistion: >> >> http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8401344.stm >> >> I wonder if they'd share the whole dataset? >> >> Tom >> >> >> _______________________________________________ >> Mailing list [email protected] >> Archive, settings, or unsubscribe: >> https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/developers-public >> > _______________________________________________ > Mailing list [email protected] > Archive, settings, or unsubscribe: > https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/developers-public -- Ian Eiloart _______________________________________________ Mailing list [email protected] Archive, settings, or unsubscribe: https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/developers-public
