I attended the launch of NESTA's pamphlet 'Your Local Budget' - unlocking the
potential of particpatory budgeting - last week, in conjunction with the Big
Society Network and PBU

Could be a really powerful tool - with some tentative steps in Westminster
(ward
budgets), Southwark (Community Council budgets to a degree, on a bigger scale),
though not yet in Camden. There though there has been some more in depth
consultation on funding of the voluntary and community sector recently, which
may have much more relevance to some of us.
