Hi all, I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with Participatory Budgetting:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Participatory_budgeting I only mention this because the main group of UK experts in this topic (which they call PB) are having their 10th annual conference in central London tomorrow: http://bit.ly/9eIS5v PB is pretty low-tech, mainly, focussed heavily on off-line activities (which is not at all a bad thing, I must hasten to add). However, Tiago Piexato gave a powerful presentation on our retreat this summer that this is a really important democratic innovation, and one where a combining of our skills with their skills might make for something really good. I am writing to ask the following - would anyone be willing to go (mySociety can pay for your ticket) in exchange for writing up a really good, detailed blog post about what you found out, and how a 'mySociety-ish' perspective might improve (or spoil) it? all the best, Tom _______________________________________________ Mailing list [email protected] Archive, settings, or unsubscribe: https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/developers-public
