There's been discussion recently about the fact that FixMyStreet is not always popular with councils, to put it mildly.
Here's a nice news story that pretty much entirely relies on FixMyStreet as a source: http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/editor-s-picks/potholes-in-glasgow-are-worst-in-uk-1.1081511 At the end, the council say "However, we would urge drivers to report any faults to us directly using our dedicated hotline, which ensures the right team gets the information as soon as possible". Which only goes to show why reporting these things in public is such a good thing. There's been discussion recently about adding new categorisation tags to reports; why don't we offer to add a "potholes" tag especially for Glasgow Council so the right team gets the information as soon as possible?!
