See: http://www.zdnet.com/tsunami-appeal-site-hacker-found-guilty-3039226548/ It is good evidence that section 1 of the Computer Misuse Act 1990 is too widely drawn. I worry a lot about the ways in which s.1 could be deployed against people for want of some other weapon - eg a great many people scraping websites may be committing section 1 offences. -- Francis Davey
