Hi,

is the Fix My Street android App still around? I just bought myself
a new tablet (Arnova 10d G3) so thought I'd see if it would run the
app (before I had a Wildfire phone which I think we decided had screen
issues that would prevent the app showing up in Marketplace).
Searching Google Play for 'Fix My Street' or 'FixMyStreet' returns
results but nothing relevant. I tried the AppBrain link posted to
this thread but got a message that the app was no longer available.

As it happens my local council (Birmingham) has recently published an
app for reporting faults but it's iPhone only, rather clunky to use
and lacks the public oversight that Fix My Street gives (you can only
see your own reports and there's no follow up for you to say if the
fault was resolved). I did ask why they hadn't just used Fix My
Street and was told that it was because it wouldn't interface to their
backend systems. I'm wondering if anyone from the council actually
contacted someone at My Society to perhaps talk about how to make it
interface?

Stephen
