Hi all, It’s just over 200 days until the next general election and the teams at Full Fact and Democracy Club have joined forces, aiming to halt the progress of inaccurate claims before they get the chance to influence the electorate, by providing a rapid response factchecking service.
As well as copious preparation, this means being available to push facts into the debate from 6am right up until the next day’s headlines are revealed at midnight. As a team of ten people we would be lucky to make it past the first week, which is why we need your help. We are looking for volunteers to help us in all aspects of our work — from researching complex topics and media monitoring to website development and liaison with journalists — from now until the 7th May. Help us to provide information and make the tools that the public can use to hold candidates to account: whatever your skillset you will be able to help.
