ElectionLeaflets:

In relation to this, Francis and I (who became paid up members for this
purpose) have proposed the following motion for the Unlock Democracy AGM on
8 November for the chance that they will make themselves very useful by
deploying their own resources to get this system out there properly.

If anyone on this list are members of UD, please support this motion, which
will mean that they can officially get behind the project.  The final
section would obviously channel material generated by Fullfact, etc.

Unlock Democracy...

Notes that the ElectionLeaflets.org project has been positively received by
its supporters over the past year during its pilot stage;

Believes that the ElectionLeaflets.org project has a great potential to
promote engagement and understanding in the party election campaign in real
time;

Further believes that the ElectionLeaflets.org project has the potential to
promote accountability with regard to campaign promises after theelection;

Resolves to promote and develop the ElectionLeaflets.org project as a
front-line tool during the run up to the General Election, local elections
and any intervening byelections;

And Further resolves to be prepared to respond informatively to media
questions in relation to controversial leaflets in an authoritative
non-partisan manner.
