I would include those. XSLT is like code, and code is present in the jar
too, isn't it..

For the rest I completely agree with the list you gave. It was more or less my 
point that we perhaps
should be a bit more selective on what should be included.

I don't really mind that there is a log4j.xml in the mmbase.jar, but I think
it is a bit silly. We want to stimulate that people actually take a look at
it. The same goes for al the other things which you marked 'don't include'.

So, including everything is simple, but simply explicitely adding the list you 
gave in
build.xml would be quite fine with me too (indeed, better).

If one wants to ship a 'one-file' mmbase, I suggest to go for an mmbase.war..
