It used to be so that if you increase the version number on a builder after adding some fields the configuration would be reevalueated and new fields would be created in the database.
As far as I know, this never worked this way. You always had to either drop the table or add them manually, either in the database or using the admin pages.
Not that it can't be coded tow ork this way though. But that would take some effort/time.
