Yes. If it make syou feel better, when we set up the verify method on the storagemanager, this was done in part to facilitate auto-builder-change-procedures in future versions.
Sicne teh storage manager can detect the difference, it could also make changes if eneded. Of course 'if needed' is a bit tricky here, because in general, only the administrator can determine this, you don't normally want the system to mangle your tables because, for instance, a careless import introduces an incompatible builder.
It is on my 'to do' list for storage. It just has very low priority right now (of course as usual, huge amounts of cash can instantly change that).
