The MMBase CVS contains an 'applications' module, which holds applications or java-extensions that can be added to the MMBase core.
Examples of applications are the editwizards, the taglibs, and the bugtracker.
Currently, it is required for these applications to be maintained by the MMBase community. This approach however means that 3rd-party components cannot find a place in CVS, whcih means less code exchange and improvment finds place.

My feeling is dat I rather have them in a separte CVS module. Because I don't like the feeling of having too many people having access to MMBase core. Then again if the group of commiters doesn't get too large that is a non-issue. And if it gets large we need to split access into core/applications anyway.
