You may punish me for this one, but eh, what's wrong with wordpress?
You can install that in 5 minutes and make a layout look different than
others in 10... It has every single feature you want, it's free, it's
out there and it's blazingly fast. Why would you want to rebuild that
in MMBase?
Maybe because you want it to be fully integrated with your MMBase site?
I'm thinking about building one myself for a while, but haven't find the
time or the money to build it.
Decide for yourself if your first argument (fully integrated) is
outweighs your second argument (time & money).
Perhaps you could use the time & money to build a (reusable) interface
to a standard blog and thus integrate it 'fully' (or as much as is needed).
