hi,

We will have a open irc meeting before and after every meeting to make sure we have the voice of the developers as best we can.

And these will be announced on the devlist I assume?

We will do our best to keep you (the commitors/developers) involved this is also a very practical demand since from a techinical point its the developers who have to design and build new projects. The goal of this group is not to design the next mmbase version but to make sure all the reasons for not doing it are removed by practical means.

Michiel Meeuwissen and Daniel Ockeloen will represent us at these new meetings.

so the question can you live with this in the startup phase of these new meetings or should we somehow have a election ?

I think this is perfectly ok for the startup phase, and maybe for later too ;-)

We will see what happens, from what i understand there is a feeling of acting 'fast' and 'slow' at the same time in that within these meetings time will be spend on solving problems _now_ (for example for 1.8) but also creating space within the community to plan for the next few years.

If this works ok and we see results i personally think its good to have some election method simply because thats the way we developers do our thing. The main reason for the question 'do we need a vote' is not too put in too much time in this stage and create more overhead.

Daniel.
