That's the 'why'. If we deprecate getInfo, getList, and process in
org.mmbase.bridge.Module, absolutely nothing is left, besides perhaps
'getProperty' and the function methods, so I would nearly think that we
can as well deprecate module itself then..
It's just a thought, and I already noted that there are one or two other
aspects to modules (most noticable that they are started together with
mmbase), which may remain interesting. (but that does still not justify
Module in the bridge).
Yes that is a very interesting feature of modules which I have used
regularly. This discussion is getting into an architectural one. I have
seen several others lately which said something vageuly about the future
architecture of mmbase. Maybe an idea to discuss this on the docweekend
and write a draft for mmbase2?
