Every time i start doing something like this i just get depressed I have tried this a few times already and every time a different problems occur. and when I am in the "documentation" mode I don't like to run into hacking fixing bugs mode here are some reasons why I never did it. thing that stopped me in random order ->apps1 dependency was broken impossible to install mynews + resources ->image convertion was broken (function argument checking code the was broken) ->my news is outdated and we don't have a nice updated sample. ->file upload is broken impossible to upload images when not using "useinput hacks" ->builders are outdated ->resource loaded did not work It's just that for me it takes out fun out of doing things. I'd prefer to use something like a wiki of the faq-o-matic stuff to write documentation , that way it a least I won't get annoid by bugs. BUT. the current mmbase 1.8-head is the best mmbase ever I I just implemented a site without running into problems at all, I even ended up installing MyCompany and am using MyNews. the image converstion just works great. apps1 works again, it's possible to put configuration (like the mmbaseresourcebundle builders) in the same jar as the java code.
