Using an irc-lient you should connect to the server
'irc.slashnet.org' and then issue a join command to join the
channel '#mmbase'.
Please note that you need a registered username to join the #mmbase
channel.
Using a 'normal' irc client you do not need to have a *registered*
username [1] but you do have to provide one. But that's normal
procedure on all irc servers, i believe. The channel #mmbase was
protected for a few weeks because we suffered some bot attacks, but
that requirement has been removed now.
