Hi all, The MMBase Jira has been online now for some weeks and today also the connection between CVS and Jira has been established. E.g.:
http://www.mmbase.org/jira/browse/MMB-1347?page=vcs The only thing you have to do for having a link from the Jira issue to your cvs commit is add the issue number (here it is MMB-1347) to your cvs commit. Now this functionality is available, I think we should try to start using Jira as a issue management / release management tool. This means that: (a) not only bugs should be registered in Jira, but also new features, tasks and improvements. In this way it is easier to keep track of what changes from release to release and generate the release notes. (b) every commit to the MMBase CVS should contain a Jira issue number as a reference. In this way we can use Jira as the documentation of the MMBase development process. Ok, to start using this as a principle? Let me know if you want to have a vote on this ;) Regards, Henk. P.s. Michiel will also try to add the reverse links from cvs to Jira in cvsmail (http://www.mmbase.org/index.jsp?page=page_cvsmail). _______________________________________________ Developers mailing list [email protected] http://lists.mmbase.org/mailman/listinfo/developers
