Thanks for that. Yep, the 'cli' problem was due to file permissions.
Is there any properties you can set to prevent connections from timing out?
The keep alive and connector retry times are set to the default values (1
min). Are there any other properties that can be set?

Yes, it does. There is a file permission problem. Here is an extract from
the error.log:
