Uh, are you refering to the hack-proposal for database-layer and database-config selection, based on the connection? If so: Yess, nothing has be changed, only funtionality added: if the property 'database' cannot be found in mmbaseroot.xml, it will try to detect the setting itselve based on the connection. Would you make your own config, it would be creating your own database config, and refer to it in mmbaseroot.xml with property 'database'
