Yes and no. in the last week a few "proposals" have been posted
One about "automatic" database configuration
One about setting the configurations in the mmbase.jar

I was just thinking if the "automatic" database detection configuration is in 
the mmbase.jar it get's difficult for people who don't want the source to add 
an other database or even to know why the database connection doens't work
or why the databas is ussing a certain driver. mabey I don't understand it 
fully :)
