why should the developers update release notes, instead of the release team. :-)

At the moment it's to much work to get the information from the
bugtracker and I'm afraid this will allways be the case.
e.g. a checkbox that indicates if the bug should be added to the release notes, and maybe an extra release note description ?
At least you have time enough during the cvs commits to decide if a fixed bug is 'important' enough, although i think that it's a task of the release team.It's very easy: - file a bug in the bugtracker - fix the bug - close the bug in the bugtracker - if it's an import bugfix add it to the releasenotes.
