Approximately in the way you described.

If the css can be made better to define the look&feel more completely, then
I'm all before that.

We'v tried to make smaller xsl templates foccused at the possibility to
change lay out without copying (a lot of) functionality. I welcome every
initiative in improving it more in this way. (The original xsls of q42 were
terrible, you had to copy very large blocks only to change a bit).

I ussualy only add some extra style. I think it can become a bit ugly if it
suddenly is based on another style sheet (with other colors and so on).

So, consicely I agree that small changes in lay out would not matter, but
I'm not sure about a rigorous change in the default css and overridable
xsl-templates, but I would welcome every change in css and xsl, to make it
easier for you (and everybody else) to get it right without copy-pasting.
