About the storage && postgresql:
        Has this been tested?
        Is the database structure the same?
        Are there the same checks?
        Is it backwards / forwards compatible?

The reason why i ask this is, since there are some -silly- transactions
/ commit's needed in certain versions, which in other versions lead to
an error(and yes, this is in the situation of byte thingies).

AFIK: you need to test:
        -> postgresql 7.1 &&  postgresql-jdbc-7.1
        -> postgresql 7.1 &&  postgresql-jdbc-7.2
        -> postgresql 7.1 &&  postgresql-jdbc-7.3
        -> postgresql 7.2 &&  postgresql-jdbc-7.2
        -> postgresql 7.2 &&  postgresql-jdbc-7.3
        -> postgresql 7.3 &&  postgresql-jdbc-7.3

IIRC the version of the jdbc driver was more important than the
postgresql-server version.

(and yes, the lookup.xml in the cvs doesnt do the right job. With what
in mind was this changed?(we could also say that versions before
7.3-server are supported by the support classes))

What is the status of the storage? (have there been changes to the api?
/ is it possible to still make some minor changes?)

mopper mopper, moet ik toch maar eens kijken,.. mopper dan ook maar
oracle erbij,.. mopper :D (is oracle nog steeds -worth-the-effort-? /
welke versie gewenst?)
