Actualy, I think we agreed that this should be a vote, precisely because of backkward compatibility issues, so people do have a chance to react should they need to. Ofcourse if nobody ASKS vor a vote (despite me having mentioned it to them several times over the past week), there is no vote and the chance cannot be made. So I strongly suggest the people who desire this change make a call for a vote.

I can understand that you read it this way, although the email stated that no official decicions were taken during the developers meeting.
Something else that supprised me is that the jsp editors (with the scan look) were added to the cvs head without a vote, or did i miss something?
