Thanks, with this suggestion in mind I looked at the archive and found the thread about Xalan and Xerces and found out that I had to move those two jars into Tomcat (it had another implementation).

Did you read: http://www.mmbase.org/docs/administrators/install-tomcat.html The other option is perhaps that you use java 1.5.
