Well, I took the liberty to try to fix those bugs (these issues interest me ;-), and I think I might have succeeded.
In my test-cases (tomcat 5) mm:include is now actually working better than jsp:include, because you can also mm:include XML files now (and the needed encoding is actually read from the first line!) This is not done by jsp:include. It might not work in Orion, because I think that app-server calls getWriter rather than getOutputStream of the ResponseWrapper, and the situation gets hopeless then. I used the same code to explore the first line of mm:formatter's body, so that issue should be fixed now too. I changed to status of #6496 en #6495 to pending, hoping that perhaps someone will verify it on other situations.
