Hi Annette

Yes - related to win2000 as well.
I can't recall the security update #, but it's related to Internet Explorer. See
technet.
If you know the security #, you'll be able to see if it's installed in control
panel/add remove programs/windows installation.

Regards
Bruno

Hi Bruno,

thanks for replying so quickly.

I would like to bother you with some more questions:

Was that a security update for Win 2000 as well?
Do you know whether that update has a name or how I might find out, wether it was
installed on a client?
Does a hotfix exist for Axapta 2.5 (without service packs) exist too?

Thanks a lot, Annette

Hi Annette

As I recall you need a kernel hotfix from Navision. The error is the result of a security update from Microsoft that has been installed on the clients.

Hello,

on some of our client PCs, ActiveX controls don't show, just like stated in technet discussion 5130.2:

The following text is from the Partnerguide: "Axapta support for ActiveX form controls on Windows XP SP1, Hot Fix

The Axapta client does not support ActiveX form controls when running under Windows XP SP1 or Windows .NET Server. The area where the ActiveX is located is simply not drawn on the forms. This means that the upgrade wizard, the online Help, the web page editor, etc. does not work at all."

The difference in our system is that the OS is Windows 2000, not XP!

I would be gratefull for any pointer to the source and possibly the solution of this problem.

TIA,

Annette
