You definetely do not need to define two datasources relating to the same table.


After you added the new fields to your table, 1st you need to save your changes in the AOT (the red mark will disappear). After this you might also have to refresh the datasource's fields node in your form (right click..

However, make sure you know what field groups are before you start making any of these changes. If you can find a suitable excisting field group, that is already displayed on the form, you can just add your fields into this group. The fields will then be added to your form automatically and no further changes are required.

Optionally you might want to create a new field group for your particular fields, save the changes in the table, refresh the datasource's fields node, the drag the new field group onto the table.
