Hi Yifat,

I agree that you have to adjust Axapta to achieve your goal.

The starting point would be the table ProdBom:
In functions InitFromInventTable and InitFromBOM, the InventDimID is set, thus creating a relation to Warehouse and Location (if you use these). This you would remove and instead add to the function InitFromProdTable that warehouse (and location) are derived from the setting on the production order.

I hope this helps you getting started.

Have a nice weekend,

Annette

Betreff: [development-axapta] Produce the same BOM in 2 independent warehouses

Axapta version 3.0, service pack 2

I have a BOM (called BOM A), that is produced in two different
warehouses and each warehouse has its own stock room which it
purchases stock into and it picks this stock for production (ie the
warehouses are not refilled by a (common main warehouse)

How would I set it up that when there is a demand in Warehouse 1 and
Warehouse 2, that Master planning would suggest that I need to
PURCHASE stock into warehouse 1 to be picked for production in
warehouse 1, and at the same time that I need to purchase stock into
warehouse 2 to be picked and produced at warehouse 2.

Currently, Master planning suggests in which warehouse the
production is required, but not the purchase orders.

(Axpata suggests in which warehouse the production should occur, the
picking list has no warehouse attached to it.)

Currently when creating the bom I have left the warehouse field
blank, however the planned orders also have a blank warehouse and
hence I don't know where the items must be purchased into..

According to a person who replied to be me on Technet (discussion
9196), i have to modify axapta... the problem is that i have no idea
where to start....please can someone help me...

Many thanks in advance.
Yifat
