i had the same problem with the integration of the east european gls
layer in a westeuropean installation. We decided to convince the
customer to implement 2 databases. Our reason: Even if you implement
expensively all easteuropean features into the application, the cost of
administrative maintenance after going live is to high.
I think, with your region-specific features it 's the same case.
Our partner in Czech Republic made an implementation consolidating two
region-specific layers. The project had never gone live.
If you hear of any success-story regarding this issue, I would be very
interested.
I think, it would be wise, to wait until microsoft consolidates all
region specific Layers in the sys-layer.
