Hey Juan Manuel, > Has anybody had any experience with usb_modeswitch ( > http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswitch/) and the f2g or f2n? Yes, I have. In short: it works.
I received my f2n some days ago and plugged in my 3g USB dongle (icon 210). As expected, it does not work out of the box. I fetched the SVN repo from fonosfera.org and build an image including usb-modeswitch as openwrt feed (version 1.0.5). The package does not include any config file, thus I copied it to the rootfs separately -- at least the relevant part of it. As I have said the usb modeswitch does work. However, I have to expend some more effort to get the 3g working. The usbserial module has to be reloaded with special parameters. However, as this was not part of your question, I won't get into detail. I've just tested the pre-built package from openwrt [1] (usb_modeswitch version 0.9.5), that one also works. Thus, if you want to play with it, it should be sufficient to flash a DEV firmware and setup the openwrt repo like described in [2] -- well, at least for the f2n.
