Hi,

MightyOhm has reinvented the wheel (or they never knew about the Fonera
2.0g/n and their music plugin and the 5$ usb audio dongle)

Here they explain how to get "music" out of an Asus wifi router... (which is
cheaper than a fonera 2.0g and has more ethernet ports)
Perhaps we can tell them there are openwrt routers which can do it "out of
the box" :-)

now the interesting part starts here :
http://mightyohm.com/blog/2008/11/building-a-wifi-radio-part-5-lets-make-some-noise/
where they use existing openwrt applications : mpd and mpc packages.
Fon uses their own version called audiod (
http://trac.fonosfera.org/fon-ng/browser/trunk/fon/audiod) which is still
beta/unstable...

MPD-clients exist like Theramin...there is even a nice "iphone" client as
well.
Fon created http://trac.fonosfera.org/fon-ng/browser/desktop/fonostream but
development halted 17 months ago and never went public?

Greetz,
Steven
