Hi Eelco, try the following /etc/opkg.conf:
r...@fonera:~# cat /etc/opkg.conf
src snapshots http://downloads.openwrt.org/kamikaze/8.09/rb532/packages/
dest root /
dest ram /tmp
lists_dir ext /var/opkg-lists
option force_space
and indeed, you needed to create the /usr/lib/opkg directory (shouldn't
be needed anymore in the next release).
This config is for 2.0n, btw, for 2.0g I think you need to use "atheros"
instead of "rb532".
