Hi Matthijs, Thanks for your response.
output from patch --version is: GNU patch 2.6.1.81-5b68 Copyright (C) 2003, 2009, 2010 Free Software Foundation, Inc. Written by Larry Wall and Paul Eggert The openwrt bugtrack and patch that gave me the hint was https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/7635 Basically the build stops with an error, quite early on! Given the version and the fact it was there in opensuse 10.3, I wonder if this is a Suse thing. Given the build page is Ubuntu and Debian, it is not a problem for me to patch up quilt, although I think the patch is harmless enough As for the kernel thing, they are still rebuilding, if it is there for you - I wonder if it is a country/geo-mirror thing. I get: ftp> ls linux-2.6.21* 229 Entering Extended Passive Mode (|||54317|). 150 Here comes the directory listing. -rw-rw-r-- 1 536 536 43997476 Apr 26 2007 linux-2.6.21.tar.bz2 -rw-rw-r-- 1 536 536 248 Apr 26 2007 linux-2.6.21.tar.bz2.sign -rw-rw-r-- 1 536 536 55328580 Apr 26 2007 linux-2.6.21.tar.gz -rw-rw-r-- 1 536 536 248 Apr 26 2007 linux-2.6.21.tar.gz.sign -rw-rw-r-- 1 536 536 35951336 Apr 26 2007 linux-2.6.21.tar.xz -rw-rw-r-- 1 536 536 249 Apr 26 2007 linux-2.6.21.tar.xz.sign 226 Directory send OK. Actually looking at it the creation date pre-dates the release of 2.6.21.7 - think quilt did it job and I need to rebuild. Someone suggested the tarball is available at http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/linux-2.6.21.7.tar.bz2, so this is no big deal. Thanks again for your response. _______________________________________________ Development mailing list [email protected] http://fonosfera.org/mailman/listinfo/development
