These lines suggest that the USB port detects a disconnect for some
reason, without any previous events indicating why this could be
happening. It might be that the disk is somehow resetting itself, or
there might be a bug in the USB controller or driver, i'ts hard to tell
from here.

I can't tell for sure where the problem lies, it might be that your disk
or enclosure is defective, but given previous experiences with the USB
controller, it's more likely that there is some quirk in the USB driver
or controller that is biting you now.

Does the USB disk have its own power supply? If not, that might also be
the cause of this problem, the disk resetting because the Fonera does
not supply enough power. You might fix this by using a powered USB hub
between the Fonera and the disk drive.

If your disk has its own power supply, perhaps it is faulty (working
normally most of the time, but perhaps sometimes failing). This is not
very likely, but if you have an extra power supply of the same voltage
and polarity with at least the same power, it might be useful to try
another power supply....
