See before, if possible I'd also prefer subsequent Git repositories on Apache.org, too[?]
Which as in one case (someone created a single Git repo earlier for DM related stuff) is mirrored to https://github.com/apache I agree with Reza, that especially for the Device Repo Git seems more flexible with Pull Requests or (ideally if Apache uses it) Gerrit[?] However doing so on the official Apache servers seems better, otherwise we'd have a "fork" and people would be confused, just like some of former Apache committer Stephen Colebourne's most famous projects that went from "Apache Commons Money" (did not graduate) to "JodaMoney" on Sourceforge, later probably Java.net and then to GitHub. Confusing and alienating possible collaborators on where the most recent version can be found.
