Related, but different. There was a report in B3 of PPPoE not working in
"swapped" Ethernet mode. The fix for this wasn't quite right. It has now
been fixed.
In PPPoE mode, we only want to set up an alias for the interface in
/etc/modules.conf, and have _no_ ifcfg-eth1 (or ifcfg-eth0 in swapped mode)
file. The defaultroute above was due to misconfiguration of eth1 - it
shouldn't be configured at all.
