Ok, it looks like I need to get 4.1rc1 on a machine before I can use the rpm
that Dan found. I need rpm 4 to use that file and I currently don't have any
test machine setup.
I did put on the binary tarball found at jabber.net and following the 1 page
instructions had the server working in less than 30 minutes. Groupchat or
conference didn't work and I did not add all the stuff so I could compile the
conference module. I will try to do that later.
I tried several clients, they all worked except the php_mysql web client that I
wanted to put on my website. :)
I haven't modularized the config files yet, but it looks like it won't be to
hard. And once I get a compiled conference module and maybe ICQ and AIM
modules, it shouldn't be to hard to have those choices on the admin page.
