Suggestion 1:
Don't edit anything in /etc/e-smith/templates, create a directory under
/etc/e-smith/templates-custom, copy the file into that directory, then
edit the custom template.
Suggestion 2:
You don't need to edit anything anyway, you can use the device /dev/nht0
instead of /dev/nst0 by doing:
/sbin/e-smith/db configuration setprop backup Device /dev/nht0
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event conf-backup
Suggestion 3:
You shouldn't have had to change anything, because 4.1 is configured to
enable SCSI emulation for IDE tape drives. If it did not work for your
system, then that is a bug which should be investigated. Did you try it?
If so, and it didn't work, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with details
and we will try to investigate. Send copies of /etc/modules.conf, and
the output of "mt -f /dev/st0 status", and of /proc/scsi/scsi.
Thanks
