Hi all,
We are working on a new e-smith monitor release and would like to hear
some suggestions of what you guys would like.
Some things already in work:
1) We will solve the "password bug" . Its just a permissions problem.
The pitty is that the e-smith howto might have an error as the order
cpio -dump doesn't exist in our sustem (ESGS 4.1.2)
2) The script now runs as a daemon that will fork itself in some
instancies to get the data.
3) Sysstat is no longer needed as we have found a new way to calculate
the CPU load
4) All the scripts will be lighter for the system.
Some questions:
1) What else would you like to monitor (a second HD is allready
suggested)?
2) How should we solve the dynamic detection of the network interfaces
active in the system?
