After much mucking about I've managed to get an internal linmodem working
under e-smith 4.1.2 using
http://www.linmodems.org/linux568.zip
it installs a module that works under ttyS14
So far so good. I can talk to the modem using minicom.
Trying to set S14 in the dialin contrib in the manager however fails - it
wants a single digit number like S4
Can I redirect ttyS3 to ttyS14, or can I modify the dialin contrib so it
accepts two digit numerals?
Or should I use setserial to change things?
Any guidance appreciated.
I will write a howto for setting up lucent winmodems under e-smith when
this is done - promise!
