Well,
I had the very same problem.
I deleted the new messages I had received and it worked again.
If you look up your mailbox using webmail, you can read your mail anyway.
So I think there is some error in the messages on which the client hangs.
Sometimes it reoccurs when receiving new mail.
The log-entries you sent are not imap packets because imap runs on port 143
not on 1 or 5
