My girl friend's sister, Isobel, who was studying at the NY fashion academy
has not been heard from or of, still at this time, 19 years of age -
hopefully the "opportunity of a lifetime" does not become the last one.

And also from my girlfriend in Beijing at the Australian embassy -
apparently one should see the seriousness of the Chinese crack down in the
city and the sanlitun embassy district (near the Olympic and workers
stadium). It is formal/guarded and "army" like city and district at the
best of times. From the sounds of it they have locked down as much, if not
more than the US has. A few stones being thrown at the embassy would or
could be small fry to what may happen with some types that have easy access
to China.
