If I understand this correctly, if you are administrating a remote SME5 server and sitting behind a NAT firewall (like another SME5) then you must use the local external ip as the ValidFrom address on the remote server. This then would permit access from any internal workstation on your lan. Correct? I'm not stating this as a problem, just that this level of access should be clearly stated in the Howto. Just because you are entering a single IP address does not mean that only one single defined user/workstation may connect. It could mean _any_number_ depending on the WAN behind the remote IP! Again, this is all 'if I understand this correctly' :) Regards, -- Darrell May DMC Netsourced.com http://netsourced.com http://myEZserver.com -- Please report bugs to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] (only) to discuss security issues Support for registered customers and partners to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives by mail and http://www.mail-archive.com/devinfo%40lists.e-smith.org
