Please remember to distinguish bleeding edge users from the standard
users. An SME Server release is a consistent set of packages. If people
grab the latest packages, things may break - that's life :-)

No warning required - we have not changed Samba at all - we are using
the RedHat Samba packages. They were recompiled to ensure library
compatibility, but no code changes.

The change to use "admin" is purely done through our layered package
e-smith-samba. We _always_ try to avoid modifying the underyling packages
and introducing code forks unless there is absolutely no option. And if we
do, we try to revert to the standard stream as soon as possible. For
example, we have replaced our lynx+SSL with the RedHat version for 5.1

e-smith-samba manages the permissions on /etc/smbpasswd
